But I’d Use A Condiment
A few weeks ago at karaoke, a guy sitting at our table was wearing what can only be described as the best self-esteem shirt in the world. It simply said,
“I’D DO ME”.
It inspired me so much, that I replicated the pithy affirmation with common condiments at that very table.
Racy, I know.
And, lest you think badly of […]

I Got Inked!
I’m not going to lie. It hurt like heck. But I was a trooper. The only time I even flinched was the few times my leg muscle involuntarily spasmed. It only took about 15 minutes for the tattoo artist to do my tattoo. Rachel took pictures:
So there you have it! My very first tattoo.

Interview With My Feet
Seeing as I am getting a tattoo on my foot this Thursday at 6:30 (finally got an appointment - yay!), I figured it was only fair that I give my feet some face time (er…foot time?) on my blog. I sat down with my feet today and had a heart-to-heart (er…heart to toe?).
Me: First of […]

Whaddaya Say About Tat
Well, we weren’t able to get an appointment for our tattoos this weekend, so hopefully Wednesday will be our day - it’s the soonest date that would work for Rachel and me.
I was told that my tattoo design wouldn’t be able to be put on the side of my foot. They suggested the calf or […]

A New Inkling
Tattoo change. Rachel and I are no longer going with the grapes design. We have each chosen different designs, but they share a common element: the infinity symbol. Here’s what I decided on for my tattoo:
I like this better than the grapes. I love trees. Trees have a lot of […]

Another Fun Super Power
Picture this.
——
You’re driving down the highway. Always the courteous driver, you make sure to obey the speed limit and leave plenty of room between yourself and others. You are a traffic cop’s dream. Suddenly, a glance in the rear view mirror alerts you that a car is coming up behind you fast. […]

Sheep: Good or Evil?
(Dedicated to Mielikki)
Throughout history sheep have been portrayed as the picture of innocence - going where they are led and needing protection from the world. In the following paragraphs, you will find two different viewpoints: the goodness of sheep as described by meadowologist Phil DePasteur, and the evilness of sheep as described by me. […]

I Heart iTunes
I just joined iTunes yesterday, and I love it! Ninety-nine cents per song is great - there are so many songs I like, but wouldn’t want to buy a whole album to get them. Here are the songs I’ve downloaded so far:
Love Train by The O’Jays
Canned Heat by Jamiroquai
Tom’s Diner by Suzanne Vega & D.N.A.
More […]

I’d Even Dye For You
My best friend Rachel and I are going to get tattoos. I’ve actually been thinking about getting a tattoo for several years. I thought I’d get something that reminded me of my Grandma Playter, but I could never find something that was “just right”. Then I started thinking about it, and decided […]

Bear Warning
In light of the rising frequency of human/grizzly bear conflicts, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game is advising hikers, hunters, and fishermen to take extra precautions and be alert for bears while in the bush. We advise outdoorsmen to wear noisy little bells on their clothing so as not to startle bears that aren’t […]
