It’s Not the Rage Today

Posted February 28th, 2006 by Playtah

I would probably be classified as having road rage.  I am an aggressive driver.

As I was turning into the driveway of my workplace this morning, a car pulled out right in front of me from another driveway.  I had to hit my brakes.  But instead of seeing red, I saw the driver smile and wave to me.  It was like in the Care Bear cartoons where the villain is mean and grumpy, and then the Care Bears do a “Care Bear Stare”, blasting him with love and sunshine by shooting light out of their tummies.  Here’s my point:

1. Brush your teeth.  I will require a large smile if you cut me off.
2. Even if you have a nice smile, try not to cut me off.
3. Many policemen will not believe you are performing a “Care Bear Stare” if you lift your shirt at them, even if you explain to them that sometimes it’s hard to see the beam of light.

I have been in the car with you driving before. I can totally picture what you described.
Wendy leaving work, heading home to take a nap and gets cut off… blood starts to boil…. and then she sees it. A nice smile and a wave…..and the anger deflates like a 3 day old balloon. and Wendy then thinks to herself “Crap”! cause now she feels guilty for getting mad.
Similar to when you open the fridge to eat your lunch and it is gone. You stomp around angry cause someone stole your lunch…..and then you find it behind the half filled 2 liters in the back- untouched.
