Egggggggggggggg-cellent
‘Tis the season…to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ with a delicious chocolate egg. Who knows why the two are related, but I love Jesus and I like chocolate, and any holiday that involves the two can’t be wrong, right?
I love Cadbury eggs. I purchased my first eggs of the season last night. I remember several years ago, my friend Murphy bought me a whole case of Cadbury eggs. (Seriously, there were about 200 of them.) I restrained myself last night, only purchasing 8 eggs. I’ve been trying to find a bunny that actually lays the Cadbury Eggs, but all I’ve gotten so far is a cageful of disappointment and another reason to steam clean the carpet. Plus, the carrot bill is through the roof.
Do you have a favorite seasonal candy?

I too love Easter, but more because of the jelly beans (Starburst, Smuckers, cheap Meijer ones…I don’t care).
One time a terrorist found out I was diabetic and a white American, and bought me a case of jelly beans. My point? Anyone? No? OK…

That was “more because of the Jelly beans” as compared to Cadbury eggs, not Jesus. Sheesh.

Candy corn. It’s the devil’s foodstuff, but I can’t get enough of it. Only in October, though, and only the classic orange, white and brown variety; that “Easter” candy corn with the pastel colors is just … wrong.

Mine isn’t a candy per se, but it does have candy in it. I LOVE peppermint ice cream and although you can occasionally find it throughout the year, most of the time it is only available around Christmas time.
My other favorite is Shamrock Shakes from McDonalds.

I was at a debate tournament a.k.a. the football of PHC. It went well, not as good as last tournament, but my team got third place and I got fifth place speaker.

It’s not Easter without PEEPS! (Well, it is, but you know what I mean…) If you google “peeps” you will find a number of interesting web sites, including a rather elaborate retelling of “The Lord of the Peeps”, The Fellowship of the Peeps, etc. I once got an email from a friend about some diabolical evil plot concerning peeps, but I can’t find it or remember it. Taste the marshmellowy goodness, and no peeping to the dark side….

Gerald…I thought when you said PEEPS you meant the folks I hang out with. LOL (jk)
You know, “I’m just hangin with my peeps!”
