Update
Thank you all so much for your well-wishes. I just finished my first night solo, and everything went well. Nobody died, and the tips were good.
I don’t know if I’m going to be getting enough hours at the restaurant to actually be able to make it on that money alone, but we’ll see. It sucks not having money. It’s stressful, and you find yourself thinking about ways to get money that you might not have considered before. (Anyone need a kidney? I have an extra one…$50,000 is a great bargain…..and I hear that white babies go for quite a bit on the black market…) So Mom and Dad, if I suddenly have a lot of money and you get great Christmas presents, don’t ask any questions. Don’t think about it. Shhh.
I’m just lucky I have such great family and friends that help me through times like this.
And seriously, if anyone needs a kidney…
