I Have A JOB!

Posted November 5th, 2007 by Playtah

Yes! Last week I was offered a job as a server at a very high-end Grand Rapids restaurant called Noto’s. They actually serve a brand of cognac that is $150 per glass. They have over 600 wines available, with several wines in the $500-$750 per bottle range. Hurray for tips!

The Noto family seems very nice, and I’m looking forward to actually having money now. There is a very real possibility that I will be making more money here than at any of the other professional jobs I’ve had. Hurray for rich diners!

The other good thing about this job is that the restaurant doesn’t open until 4pm, so if I needed to, I could pick up lunch shifts at another restaurant.

My first day is tomorrow at 5pm. Hurray for employment!

What happened to your other job and doesn’t this throw off your “professional” career?

Food service can be tough. Good luck!

I have only been to Noto’s once (couldn’t afford it after that) and it was delicious! Congratulations and good luck!

Another answered prayer. Congrats. Have you seen the restaraunt scene in Monty Phython’s ” The Meaning Of Life”? Don’t make a guy eat a mint if he doesn’t want it. How about an open mic night at Noto’s, hosted by……..Wendy Playter?
I know that cognac and mudwrestling just don’t fit. Just a thought. Be blessed, Woodsy Al

I was there once too… Jayne took our Exec Council there when we were Jr.s… the year I lived with Trina. It was very good. Let us know how it went today!

Congrats on the job, Wendy. Blackberry Rose had Chef Darrin from Noto’s come and cook to celebrate our second anniversary. He did a great job and was extremely nice. I think he is the chef of the private dining rooms in the basement/wine cellar. I believe there is another restaurant upstairs - is that right? Anyway, hope you like it and make big bucks!!

Is the name of the place really pronounced like “Nodoz”, the stuff people take to stay awake?

By the way, you have been tagged
