I actually basically agree with everyone here, I just looked up enough information to do a rant, not enough to write a well-informed opinion.

kg - Thanks for your comment. I’ve seen and heard enough police abuse cases to where I no longer would give cops the benefit of the doubt in all situations, but in this case, you’re right - he was resisting arrest and the police did what they had to do.

ElRanito - I also agree with kg here - that was nicely put. (Although, I think Kerry did try to tell the police he’d answer the kid’s question, if I’m not mistaken.)

And the thing about the purple hearts brings up an interesting point - if the officer sticks you while pinning the medal on, do you get another one for that injury? Also, you are a wonderful thespian. And if we get a democrat elected, soon thespians will be able to marry other thespians.

As a thespian, my own self, I recocognize a staged drama when I see it. This guy got what he wanted. He wasn’t there to listen to any response, just to be disruptive so he could post it on his website. He’s gotta be the biggest wuss in the world to screem like a school girl who sets on a spider. Iv’e seen videos of men and women being tazed, and none screamed like that. His pleas of don’t taze me bro’have gotten him more press than he deserves. In the stairwell after the incident the schmuck, reportedly told the security guards that he wasn’t mad at them and he knew that they were just doing their jobs, then when the cameras were back on, he was the victim, again. As little as I would care to hear John Kerry expound on why he didn’t fight harder to defeat W., I think it could have been answered with three words,” supreme court said”. I think it is better that the guards acted to protect Mr.Kerry than to wait to see if that loon, as he was acting, was a danger or not. Of course John could have thrown his half dozen or so , purple heart medals at the guy and knocked him unconcious. I digress. Move on.arggg.

Yeah…I usually find flaws with police behaviour too, but that kid was truly being disrepectful, out of control and needed removal. I’m all for free speech, but he wasn’t allowing anyone else to speak, even Kerry. He crossed the line and was being pushier than the police were. From what I saw, the police did attempt to escort him out in a friendly manner, but the kid escalated into an emotional rage that turned into a physical resist. I’m sure someone cued the security to remove him and they did their job. I also have a sense the kid knew his actions would cause a scene and almost antagonized the situation to make it worse than necessary. I also heard a report he had a few past incidents of similar behaviour which is not surprising after witnessing his actions. Normally I’d side with the kid on this type of thing, but after viewing it, he had it coming and more.

Everyone involved in the situation basically came out looking like morons.

1. Kerry should have diffused the whole thing in the first place, but he’s a moron and never stepped up and stopped the thing from happening in the first place.

2. The police should have let the kid stand there and ask his question even though he was being a douchebag about it. They didn’t need to remove him until someone asked them to do it, and it didn’t seem like it was necessary or that Kerry was asking for him to be removed.

3. The kid is an idiot for resisting arrest. If a police offer tells you to go… you go. Whether it is justified or not. Nothing would have happened to him if he had just gone with them. If a cop is trying to arrest you, and you try to stop him… you are asking to be zapped, or at the very least roughed up.

I have to side with police in about every situation. Kid was resisting arrest. Eye witness testimony (as reported on tv 9 & 10) from a student who was present said they the officers asked him to turn over on to his belly numerous times to no avail and the student also stated that he thought the officers acted very professionaly.

Im sick of it being a lose lose situation for the officers.. if they dont get a situation under control from a subject not responding to commands they are in the wrong.. if they take him down (by whatever means neccessary as they are taught) they are using excessive force. I personally loved that they did that
