10 Things You May Or May Not Know About Me

Posted August 23rd, 2007 by Playtah

10. I prefer 1-ply toilet paper.

9. I don’t care for green tea.

8. I’m doing Weight Watchers, and it’s really not that bad. I’ve lost over 10 pounds so far.

7. I’m thinking about someday getting another tattoo: a peace sign.

6. I’ve always wanted to fly. Sometimes I dream about it.

5. I usually have a tornado dream about twice a month. It’s been this way for years.

4. Among other reasons, I prefer cats to dogs because when I pet a cat, my hand doesn’t then smell like cat.

3. I did so well in school and college, but I don’t feel very competent right now. I feel like if a career in comedy doesn’t work out, I might not have many marketable skills for a normal job. I feel right now like I’m less successful than many people my age.

2. I think the hippies had some things right.

1. I automatically am pre-disposed to dislike people who drive Hummers.

**Stay tuned for styrofoam horse goodness!**

I knew one guy who drove a Hummer to church. In the winter, he would drive it halfway up one of those huge snow mountains at the edge of the church parking lot, and park it there.

I thought that was kind of cool, since the church parking lot was small and easily ran out of parking places.

I saw a Hummer with an environmental plate (my buddy was too slow with his camera phone to get a clear picture). I don’t know who the guy was or where he was going, but I wanted a tree to fall on his H2, and have a family of squirrels start living in his glove compartment.

I feel like we communication arts people are all screwed. They taught us little things about lots of areas, but not enough of one specific area to equip me to find a job in something. I think your future still lies in comedy.

    8. Congrats on the weight loss so far

    7. Will it be done in tie-dye?

    6. As in pilot an airplane? Or put on wings like Iccarus?

    5. There’s no place like home…

    4. And cats have personalities.

    3. You are an incredible person and I know God has a purpose for your life. It’s sometimes just hard to figure out what that is.

    2. Peace

    1. I don’t like Hummers either-big gas guzzling houses on wheels.

Hey, you used my suggestion! Unbelievable!

You may not remember this, but Griz got his B.S. degree in Telecommunications. And you’ve HEARD all his voices, so you know he could’ve been awesome in the field he was schooled for. But he could never find more than a few hours work at TV33 in its infancy.

However, his degree has served him well many times over; it has given him better jobs and pay scales than someone else would receive without one. It is currently, in fact, helping him at J&J. He is always the one who says education is never wasted, and he’s right.

You have more going for you than anyone else I know, and I feel absolutely certain that whatever God has in mind for you will be revealed.

You can always move down here! We’d LOVE to have you. Chicago is not that far away!

It’s fun to learn new stuff about people you’ve known for a while! Thanks for sharing! :)

I was once about a mile away from a tornado in Iowa. Our house was really close to interstate 80 and a tornado touched down there. I probably would’ve thought it was cooler if I hadn’t been home by myself. I ended up sitting in the basement hoping and praying the roof wouldn’t be sucked off. My Grandma on my Mom’s side had an unconventional approach to tornadoes. She used to open up all the windows and just let them blow through.

Did you see the show Heroes at all last season? Maybe your dreams are evidence of a latent ability! Or, ya know, whatever . . .

On a less geeky note, are you coming to Faith’s shower next month? It’d be fun to see you again! :)

Hey! I guess I better not buy that Hummer I was planning on purchising with lots of my invisible $. Lol. Glad you posted dear. I don’t feel competant either. I do, however, feel like singing karaoke & drinking free booze at our usual hang out. :)
