Nothin’ Could Be Fine-a…
…than to be in Carolina.
Well, there could be, like being in Hawaii. But I digress.
I got in between 11 and 12 on Sunday night, picked up my rental car, and made it to my hotel room. It’s actually been somewhat chilly here–probably the tail end of the storms–but the trees all have leaves and it’s nice to see the green.
The people here in the office are great. It’s also nice that my coworker Brett is here to joke around with and keep me (in)sane. The building is big, and there’s a great fountain in the pond nearby. I’ll post some pictures later.
Hopefully I’ll hit the beach one of these weekends, and connect with some friends from my hometown that now live here in North Carolina.

If you get a chance to be anywhere near it, you should also check out part of the Appalachian Trail, the one that runs from Georgia to Maine. I hear that it is quite beautiful…

Now you’ve done it, Jaybird. She’ll check it out, and there won’t be any more posts from her until sometime in late October, when she starts the first of several in a series of posts on backpacks and hiking blisters.

So are you closer to the ocean or that terrible tabacco smell?

We were at the beach…
Everyone smelled, something foul…
Somebody went, under a dock
And there they saw YOUR MOM!
But it wasn’t your mom…it was your mom’s LOBSTAAAH!
Yeah…I said it
