Jesus Loves You, But…
Ok, I am sorry for everyone who was offended, turned off by, or otherwise exposed to ANON1’s vicious comments. Why in the world did I wait this long to ban him? I apologize, because that was my fault. He’s gone. For good. Not changing my mind. I value you all much more than I value being able to fight against accusations of non-free speech. So please, feel safe to come here, comment, and share your thoughts. I’m not letting one sad little rich boy ruin it for everyone.
Oh, and to finish the thought I started in my title, ANON1, Jesus loves you, but I think you’re acting like an a-hole. Buh-bye.

…In continuation of this entry, the Funeral Services for the passing of ANON1 will be held at the Whogivsashitz Palace on March 23, 2007 at 2:00 PM. The casket burning will follow shortly after.
May the blog-gods have mercy on his soul.

Aww Wendy. I am sure he turned things up on this blog since he can’t comment on mine either.
I didn’t see anything that he wrote other than the really nasty one to Beth. I am glad that you deleted them.
He needs to find other blogs to troll on because he is done here and on my blog.

And I still don’t know where Andy works.

Bretterson: Before you make another post, please successfully say blog-gods 8 times in a row. Real fast.

Verbal Abuse is NOT free speech no matter how many times we try to make it be. Thanks Wendy for not allowing it on your blog any longer. I for one am very appreciative.

It is free speech. It isn’t like yelling “fire” in crowded theater, so it must be free speech. It’s just free speech for really dumb people. Playtah didn’t grant dumb people the right to free speech on her blog, and it’s her blog, and he’ll have to go cause that’s all he ever says.
And I still don’t know where Andy works.

bretterson - I heart you. That was hilarious!
Rachel - Yup. After you started moderating your comments he complained to me. I don’t know who he’s going to complain to now. He doesn’t seem like the therapy type. Maybe he’ll just get drunk and start talking to statues of famous republicans.
laughingattheslut - Oh, ANON1 just kept harrassing people about personal things that were not related to the post. I can definitely handle people disagreeing, but he went at people and attacked them personally. That’s not cool, and he can go get his attention and hate-fix somewhere else.
yougiveanonymousabadname - I think I pulled something when I got up to 5.
Andy - Hee hee!
deb - No problem. Not really much of a loss, is it?
laughingattheslut - That really was all he ever said.

You guys are all interesting and am not sure which side of the crazy fence any of us are on. I must apologize, I did my best to egg him on and I should not have. If I offended anyone or he offended anyone because of me I am sorry.
I do have one thing to say to ANON1 and that is …..your outta here!!!!!!

I can announce for a fact (and Wendy as my witness since we were at work) that we did try saying blog-gods 8 times fast. We were only successful for approximately 4 out of 8.

laughingattheslut - Actually, I’m not trying to be argumentative, but if you look into the first amendment there are things called “speech codes” which limit the ability of someone to spout abusive language (hate speech) and label it “free speech”.
It doesn’t take away or limit someone’s rights under the first amendment if they aren’t allowed to call someone offensive names. That’s like saying it’s not fair to limit someone’s right to punch someone else in the face. There are laws to protect people from taking abuse from other people, whether it is physical or emotional.

PS: I should point out that I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know exactly how all that works…that’s what I learned.

My definition of free speech includes the right to shout movie in a crowded firehouse.
But not the other way around.
