Monkey Business
How did last night go?
Last night was our Fifth Annual Comedy Night at First Baptist Church of Cadillac (the church in which I grew up). The name of this year’s show was “Monkey Business.” It was, of course, monkey themed, and a lot of fun. There were so many talented people who made the show possible. I was honored that they asked me to be a part of it. Among some of the things I did was a poetic/comedic rendition of “David and Goliath,” a scene called “Dancing for Baptists,” and an “Ultimate Joke Showdown” with Al (a man with one of the best memories for jokes I’ve ever known). It was a great time, and it was also good to talk to people I hadn’t seen in a while.
My friends Rachel and Leigh surprised me by coming up to see me, even though it was a 1.5-2 hour+ drive for them. Thanks, chicas! And thank you for the card, the Cadbury Eggs, and the beautiful flowers!

Ok, first of all, it rocked!!! You are a funny, funny girl!
Secondly, it was very cool to meet Rachel and Leigh!!
Thirdly, I don’t know why you guys just smiled at me when I said we’d get together in Grand Rapids! You don’t live in Grand Rapids. LOL
I realized I said that when Jay and I were walking out to the car and I said, “Why didn’t they correct me?”
Anyhoooooooo…it was fun!

I’m glad it went well. My midterms have been find so far, they are pretty spread out this semester. I am on Spring break now and it is a welcome time off. I just have one midterm when I get back and I’m done with them. Yay! Now on the the papers!

I had a blast and I remember traveling 3 hours and getting stuck in traffic for a show only half as funny as this one. Plus, this trip has bonuses of getting to see your mom and dad and also I got to meet Deb!!! Super cool and super fun.
Deb, I only live about 20 minutes from downtown GR, so it wasn’t far off. Leigh lives in Muskegon though. I would LOVE to have a girls night soon. Right now is crazy though with Leigh’s wedding less than 2 weeks away.
We will have to plan one before Leigh pops.
